Sean Nolan

Sean Nolan brings a deep passion for player development and over a decade of coaching experience to his role as Director of Coaching at Lehigh Valley Gore FC. A Lehigh Valley native, Nolan grew up playing for St. Thomas More, Bethlehem Soccer Club, and Lehigh Valley Select. He played varsity soccer at Salisbury High School during his freshman and sophomore years before continuing his playing career at the collegiate level with Penn State Altoona. After three years with the program, he transferred to Penn State’s University Park campus to complete his degree in Elementary Education.

Nolan began coaching in 2013 after earning his U.S. Soccer D License. He led the Western Lehigh Titans premier team from U13 through U18, helping them achieve a top-8 ranking in Eastern Pennsylvania. Following a brief hiatus to start a family, he returned to the field in 2020 to guide the club’s Micro/Futures program. He later launched a 2014 boys team in 2022, competing in the LVYSL Silver Division, which has since been transitioned to Coach Creyn Muthard.

Before joining Gore FC, Nolan was the head coach of two 2015 boys teams—Western Lehigh Gold and Black—both of which earned top-50 rankings in Pennsylvania. His Black team reached as high as 7th in the state, a testament to his commitment to technical development and competitive excellence.

At Lehigh Valley Gore FC, Nolan now oversees club-wide coaching initiatives, curriculum development, and player pathway programming. His background as a veteran educator—teaching 4th and 5th grade math and science in the East Penn School District for 15 years—brings a unique perspective to coaching, emphasizing communication, growth mindset, and age-appropriate instruction.

Nolan is committed to building a positive, competitive culture at Gore FC that focuses on long-term player growth, coaching mentorship, and community engagement.
